Upon returning
home from the
gym this afternoon, John informed me Lauren had learned
a new trick.
Like The Gibson Crew, we are in the process of potty-training.
Every time Lauren goes "potty" she
gets a couple M&Ms. Lauren likes M&Ms.
A lot.
Apparently, while I was out today, Lauren got a cup of water, poured it in her potty and exclaimed, "I did it, Daddy! I get treat!"

ha ha ha!!! Good one Lauren! Pipes hasn't tried that one yet.
That's right sweetie!! Give your momma a run for her money..she needs it. She is a genius..on so many levels..you're in trouble with this one choolz, in trouble with a capital T.
Woooot!!! You go girlie girl ;)
Pretty smart for a two year old... looks like trouble ahead! :)
Lis, I thought you were calling me the "genius" there for a little while! ha : )
Yep, I have to admit, she's a smartie. (I can say that, since I can't attribute it to any biology I've passed down to her!) heehee.
When John told Lauren the plan was foiled, she walked away pouting with that bottom lip sticking out... she makes us laugh so hard!
This made me laugh so hard!!!! What I want to know is whether she poured the cup of water IN FRONT of John or not!!! The scene is really cracking me up! At least she's motivated, M&Ms sound like a good plan!
When I was in San Antonio in April, my friend's 2 yr old was being potty trained for just going #2. However, after a few accidents in the bathtub (prior to my coming) she was told it had to go IN the toilet and not the tub for her to get her chocolate.
Unfortunately, while I was bathing her one evening & her mom was gone, she had a tub accident... and tried to tell me she should get a chocolate! :)
Love you all.
Denise, I don't think she knew John was watching her, but he witnessed the whole event ; )
Your friend's little girl sounds like she's in cahoots with Bidgie. Perhaps this is all a part of a universal conspiracy among two-year-olds, "How To Schmooze Parents Into Giving Treats".....
Ya never know.
Too funny! What a little stinker. Very clever, too!
