one more thing..I'm just amazed, even after our conversation, at how you held them all together. I realize that God's grace was all over it, but those kids are going to cherish that forever. Thanks for being a great example of steady eddy. You're the best..I love you..cry, cry..you're the best..oh-did I already say that? I wish sometimes you were my mommy..
You crack me up, Lisa. "Held them all together"?? Do you mean that I didn't lose any kids? haha... Oh, they pictures are blurry because the slideshow is low-rez for the internet... The original is fab. That reminds me... you're fab too. ; )
Hey Julie-Welcome Home too!!! Thank you, thank you for the invite...I had wondered how your trip went!! Your slideshow is so much fun and the pictures are great!! My slide show would have been more like 30min. due to the amount of pictures we took-so I had to pick and choose!! In one of the pictures your kids had on rain parkas. We had them too...though the weather really was great all week, wasn't it? Accept those couple of days. I wanted to give you a call to see where you guys were at but I wasn't sure exactly what you guys had planned. Once we started the park routines-oh my goodness-it was go, go, go, melt downs, and which kid wanted to go on which rides...I am sure you can relate. So my Mom goes, "Let's see if we see them". Sadly we didn't...you are right, the Magic Kingdom park is so big!! To think you guys were probably there at Magic Kingdom or other parks, at the same time I think, and we missed ya!!! Wow you brought all your food! That's great! The restaurants were VERY expensive! It was a treat for us to spend money on a meal out every day. Our trip was a wonderful gift from my Mom. A true blessing!!
Our favorite parks were Sea World, MGM, and Animal Kingdom. I know that Aerosmith ride was really fast and yet so short! That initial take off was hilarious and you couldn't see a thing it was so dark!! We liked too!! The picture of the roller coaster on my blog was at Sea World and it is called, The KRAKEN (Sp?). Anyway, THAT was the best roller coaster ride ever!! Your legs just dangle, there are tons of loopty-loops, and it's not short! Very fun-so you must try it...Sea World was extra but well worth it we thought!! There is a great little kiddy section of rides as well. MGM too!! The boys enjoyed the Stars Wars ride too but they also really enjoyed The Dinosaur ride. Did you guys go on that one-that's more of a guy ride. Stefan loved it! I think the Dinosaur was one of their favorites. I would love to hear more of how your trip went-what worked for you guys, etc. We hope to go again when the babies are a little bigger. I think it's so much fun to see us all on the same vacation at the same time! What memories this will be for all of us!!
Hey Erika : ) Thanks for stopping by! I know what you mean by "go, go, go". My sister lives in Orlando right now, so you may have noticed the extra kids... (She has four, all about my kids' ages.) We stayed at her house. So, yes, it was pure craziness. None-the-less, I also hope to go back someday... We had pretty rainy weather one day, and a bit drizzly another... but yes, the temperature difference between here and there is pretty amazing! That was sweet that your kids wanted to "adopt our family". I've never heard of that before. And what a wonderful gift from Mary! She's such a good Nana! Oh, and my big kids also loved the Dinosaur. All except Julianna... it was too scary for her. : (
Thats funny-poor John he wasn't in many of the pics-see he has a good excuse. He was being a good Daddy taking all the big kids on the rides!! Most of the time we would take turns taking the kids on the rides one or two adults would ride. Did you have to take your whole family to the parks at all on your own? I heard John didn't stay the whole time.
My 15-year-old niece came with me, and my sister (and her kids) were there for most of the time as well. It worked out fine. I've concluded, however, that it's a bit much for two-year-olds though. Unless, like you said, you are staying at a resort on the grounds and can go back for naps. Lauren will not fall asleep in the stroller or in your arms, no matter how long overdue her nap. Poor girl : ( Didn't you say Ava had the hardest time of your kids?
You know what-I thought the pins were neat!! Kayla was the only one who did that. I didn't catch on at all to the whole pin thing until I asked her what they were and she told me. She wanted to trade with other people but she really didn't see get that much an opportunity too.
The second day we there at Magic Kingdom we did get autographs from a lot of the characters. Yes we too faced some challenges while waiting in line. More so having to do with having patience with others-a great opportunity to practice patience-whoo! There was one line I remember-we were waiting for Minnie Mouse-well she needed a bathroom break-the line was still too long so we decided to leave the line. We got a good amount though.
Oh Yes! Ava did have a hard time at times! Ava is a sleep fighter too! Especially when she out and about. It did become like clock work so we knew when to expect her melt downs. Then we would try to think of things to calm her at those moments like, "Do you want a snack honey? Ice Cream? A treat?" Just kidding... Accept for the snack part. She did much better with my Mom helping her than I. That taught me a lot too-my Moms example!!!
Just so you know-I posted a couple of more answers on my blog in response to yours. I probably could type back and forth all day if I had the time!! He...
Just one more comment about Disney. IN reading all of this, I know I will someday have to take my children there (perhaps as a college graduation gift with me on the cruise and them at disney?) but not anytime soon...shuuuweee! That's craziness. 1/2 day of SeaWorld and I'm ready for an icecream and a picnic bench (or my warm car). hee!

Loved, loved, loved, loved, loved it.
How fun! My boys watched with me and are VERY jealous of Spencer on that Star Wars speeder. Very cool!
What a super fun way to celebrate her 10th birthday! Happy belated birthday Alyssa!
why are the pics so blurry? Didn't you have your fab cam?

Otay!
I loved the pictures! Looks like everyone was having a great time. Disney is where we have our family vacation planned for in June.
